LANGHE ROERO MONFERRATO

The area

We are located just a few hundred meters from the town center of La Morra, while only a couple of kilometers separate us from Barolo, Monforte, Serralunga d’Alba, so it’s easy to explore this region, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous all over the world for its Barolo wine.

Vineyards where the Brunate, Cerequio, La Serra, Cannubi varietals are grown can be found just across the road, while the Cantina Comunale di La Morra, is a few minutes’ drive. Here they conduct wine tastings with bottles from a variety of local producers. We will also be happy to recommend restaurants in the area that are worth trying.

In La Morra, the balcony of the Belvedere in Piazza Castello is not to be missed: from here the view is breathtaking and you can admire the hills of the Langhe and Roero.

Also not far away is the small chapel of Madonna delle Grazie, in Brunate. Owned by the Ceretto family, it has been restored and painted entirely in bright colors by two artists, Englishman David Tremlett and American Sol Lewitt.

Hiking enthusiasts can try their hand at hiking along the local trail network (check  Wikiloc too for more details). The trails not only lead to great vineyards, but also allow you to discover small hamlets of La Morra, votive pillars, forests and viewpoints.
